Exhibit Humanity

To "exhibit humanity" means to demonstrate qualities and behaviors that reflect the best aspects of being human, such as compassion, kindness, empathy, and a sense of shared connection with others.

Lion or Fox

The story goes that once there was a person looking to do meditation in forest.

He started meditation but when he used to feel hungry he used to go to nearby town to eat.

Once he saw a cripped fox who was fed by lion each day. He thought, god was giving him a message and stopped eating expecting devine help.

After seven days a  yogi saw  him and asked him why his state was such.

When he explained, he asked him why he was acting like crippled fox and not generous lion.

The  little baby stayed so lion took him to the river and when both looked and the baby found that he looked more like him and not like a sheep. Everyone has potential but one needs to look inside to understand ones potential.

The Brahmin and the Buddha’s Begging Bowl

One day, Buddha and his disciples were traveling through a village. A poor Brahmin saw them and decided to offer alms to the Enlightened One. All he had was a single handful of rice, which was meant to feed his family.

The Brahmin hesitated but eventually placed the rice into Buddha’s begging bowl. The Buddha smiled and accepted the offering with great reverence.

The villagers laughed at the Brahmin’s foolishness. “Why would you give away the only food you had?” they mocked.

Buddha then spoke to the villagers: “This man has given me everything he has, even though he has so little. His generosity is greater than that of a king giving from his abundance. True giving comes from the heart, not from wealth.” The Brahmin’s selflessness inspired others in the village, and they began to share their resources with those in need.

MORAL OF THE STORY

Generosity is not measured by the amount given: It is the intention and sacrifice behind the act that matters.

Humanity grows through selfless giving: Small acts of generosity inspire others to be kind and giving.

The Doctor and the Beggar

A renowned doctor was once approached by a beggar who suffered from a terrible illness. The beggar said, “I have no money to pay you, but I am in great pain. Please help me.”

Without hesitation, the doctor treated the man and provided him with medicine. When his assistant asked why he worked for free, the doctor replied, “My skills are a gift to be shared. Healing people is my duty, not a business.”

Years later, the beggar returned, now a successful merchant. He donated generously to the doctor’s clinic and helped expand it so that others in need could receive free treatment.

MORAL OF THE STORY

Humanity means using your abilities for the greater good: Compassionate service is a gift that enriches everyone.

What you give comes back multiplied: Acts of kindness often inspire more kindness.

The Boy and the Beggar

A young boy was walking home from school when he saw an old beggar sitting by the roadside, trembling in the cold. The beggar’s clothes were thin and tattered, and he held out his hand, asking for help.

The boy took off his warm scarf and gently wrapped it around the beggar’s shoulders. “This will keep you warm,” he said with a smile. He didn’t have much else, so he sat and shared his school lunch with the beggar.

The beggar’s eyes filled with tears. “You are just a child, but you have shown me more kindness than anyone else,” he said. “You’ve given me hope.”

Years later, the boy grew up and became a successful businessman. One day, an elderly man visited his office. It was the same beggar, now working and living a stable life. “Because of your kindness that day, I found the strength to start over,” the man said
